easy to find if you know it's there. very well displayed if you have no problems with mobility. It is mainly below ground and requires many steps but is absolutely a hidden gem.
Another Amazing Place to Visit in Aosta!
A fabulous ancient church functioning between the 5th and 8th centuries, largely as a funerary church for Aosta's early bishops. Their tombs can easily be seen.
Archaeological site under the deconsecrated church of San Lorenzo where tombs of early Bishops have been found.
We visited this site as it was one of the five included on the Valle D'Aosta Culture Pass. The pass cost EUR10 per person and was valid for a single visit to each of the five sites with an expiry date...

The visit to the early Christian church is included in the ticket price for the Roman Theatre, so I definitely recommend that you make the most of it and visit it. It is quite interesting to see how...
