It's like a housing complex.
Original Text
About 20 minutes walk from Asahikawa station. The year of its founding is unknown. A temple of the Soto sect. The principal image is Sanson Buddha. There are two huge reinforced concrete buildings in the precincts, which are like a housing complex. Although there is a magnificent wooden gate, the main hall is also made of reinforced concrete painted in cream color, and it is not felt as a temple.
It is the three temples lined up one by one on the west side of Gojo-dori, and is the closest to the station. This is a building rather than a temple, and it seems that there are many large facilities. The entrance is narrow and has the same structure as the gates such as temples and castles, but the others do not look like temples. Needless to say, it is difficult to enter, and you can't get anything special unless it is a tourist spot. I searched online and I didn't come out.
It seemed that all the corners of the grid were precincts. The precincts were surrounded by mountain gates and fences, but I was surprised at each building. Not only the large main hall, but also the Phoenix Pavilion, which seems to be a facility for believers, was like a building. There were three large temples with large precincts, including at the same time, and all of them had different sects.

A wide precinct
