Magnificent building. i have visited several times - opera and ballet. The scenary is always breathtaking - with sumptuous sets and cistunes. There have always been full auditoriums - helped by much chesper seats than in most capital cities - the arts are truly available to the masses - and audiences are always knowledgeable and appreciative and kind. The orchestra seem to have unlimited energy. The seating is comfortable and most seats hive a full view of the stage. some people dress up in full evening address - others wear everyday clothes - there are no judgements made here. I adore the ballet and although I am no expert the quality of the dancing is very high. No photos are allowed during a performance. No matter how cold outside you will need to leave you coats at tge cloakroom - liie every other venue ir shopping centre - the heating is very effective.
