Driving along the Embankment in Bedford, stopped off to see the Bedfordshire Boer War Memorial outside the Swan hotel. Dainty statue celebrating a long forgotten war. Worth a brief stop off.

This is a nice memorial in from of the equally impressive hotel on the banks of the river. It remembers the locals who died in the boer war

Lest we forget

It has been a long time since the Boer War but at least this is a reminder of those that fought and died for our country. Its good to just sit and remember.
