It is a castle ruin in a quiet town on the border of Okayama and Hyogo prefectures. It is said that Mr. Ito, a jito (manager and Lord of manor), built it on Mt. Tenno (291 meters) in response to Emperor Go-Daigo's plan to overthrow the shogunate. After that, he became the base of Mr. Urakami, but due to the change in his territory, he moved his base to Tenjinyama Castle. Miishi Castle was abandoned. The remains of the castle are left near the top, but from the foot of the mountain, you can only see its existence by guides to the mountain trail.

It was built on the top of Mt. Emperor overlooking the city of Miishi, which was crowded as a Miishi inn. Now, the remains of the Niomon Gate during the Warring States period remain partially. Climb from the mountaineering gate near Miishi Station and arrive in about ５０ minutes.

Located near JR Miishi Station. It looks like a mountain castle, and you have to climb the mountain trail from a narrow road near the station to the mountain. If you go around the street of the information board, you can come back to Miishi Station.
