Lovely peaceful natural place
Really loved the visit. Tiny car park but strangely very few cars there when we arrived. Had a slow relaxing walk round. So many things to look at. Well worth the visit.
The scale of garden that only old money could establish. Being sympathetically restored by Essex Wildlife Trust. It's easy to see how this became one of the most famous gardens in the UK in rhe 1900's...
Daffodils were looking beautiful today. Friendly volunteers on hand for the next few weekends to tell you more about the history of Ellen Willmott and the reserve. Paths are well kept and information...
