Interesting Little Museum
There are a lot of interesting maps and 3D diagrams here of Mt. Iwate and past volcanic activity in this area. Unfortunately most of the information is only in Japanese. Still, it is free, so if you'r...
Most of the information in the showcases is in Japanese, but there are brochures explaining the same information in other languages and visitors can follow along. Some of the information detailed wha...
A good educational spot to know about volcanos in Iwate for FREE!
Was amazing it was a free museum to know more about Hachimantai and its volcanos. Panels and videos are in Japanese, but you can get brochures other languages such as English, Chinese and all. A shy...
I stopped by on the way to Hachimantai to see Dragon Eye. I also had the necessary materials, so I got them. It's a perfect place to take a break during your trip. There is a roadside station next door, but when I thought about eating when I returned, the restaurant was already closed.
It can be said that the area where hot springs and geothermal power generation are low is in the volcano. There is a shop selling souvenir shops vegetables next door, and the parking lot is very large. There are many exhibits and monitors about volcanoes, free admission, and closed days, so it seems that they are vacant only during the day. To kill time
