The balcony panels were completely covered with memorials for various military operations. I was lucky to visit the day before the commemoration of Sunday so there were volunteers everywhere, cleaning the interior and preparing for the next day's service. I had an interesting presentation with the pastor on the history of the church, originally donated by Queen Victoria. Prince Albert had a major influence on its design and the entrance hall had a life-size statue. The magnificent interior is definitely Victorian architecture, but it is clearly lighter and brighter than many other churches of that time.
The holy church, quiet and peaceful. A lot of history.
A historic place. A elegant, beautiful, great church.
