Incredible to see how this ancient culture managed to carve massive water tanks out of solid rock at the edge of the sea with nothing more than basic bronze tools. The site isn't well mapped and will...
It's such a shame that they have not been preserved.In fact you could miss them if you had not got local information of the area.Its is certainly not marked up from the road side.

History
All over Crete there are historical buildings of the old Minoans. It's worth a look, it's just a short walk from the hotel.
Water tanks
A good be place to look round to understand a bit of history. Nice clean area and reasonably easy to find
Unloved jem
Be warned it's just a hole in the ground near a bar, but it was fun to find and it was a nice chance to think about what's changed in there world
