The beautiful hikes of the years before, until Pico do Ariero are still in my memory, so I only recommend hiking the mountain if you are young and down to earth. Now in old age, I really like traveling by car. Now in July, the beautiful nature is in a panoramic view. Unfortunately the restaurant and toilet were closed. I was looking forward to “poncha”! (Poncha is special in Madeira, it is made with lemon juice, honey and sugarcane gin)
