#2 of Best Things to Do in Chiang Mai
Ancient Towns
喜欢猫的虎
The ancient city of Chiang Mai is the site of the royal palace of the Lannatai Dynasty. It is in a quadrangle style, still retaining the city wall and moat. There are many relics in the city and many places of interest. Streets, traditional temples, special hotels, exquisite shops, etc., everything is worth savoring. The area is small, walking and bicycle are the best way to visit. Every time the water splash festival, it becomes the main battlefield for locals.

Mahatai Temple (Wat Mahathat) is located in the center of the ancient city of Sukhothai. It is the largest temple and ruins in Sukhothai. The temple is composed of 12 Buddhist temples, and a large number of Buddha statues are worshipped in the temple. The columns in the temple are very tall, and the Buddha statues are still sitting in a state of silence, although some are old. The famous tree cradles Buddha's head here, and you can enjoy the sunrise and sunset views.

The Queen Mother Culture and Art Park has held a shocking, historic teak exhibition in the hall, as well as an annual conference or wedding, showing the early Thai culture, with the pavilion completely made of wood and a pure wooden Buddha statue in the middle, stunning.
