帯広広尾自動車道の忠類ICや道の駅忠類からほど近い場所にあり、帯広~広尾、襟裳岬方面のドライブ途中だと寄りやすい場所かと思います。ホームや駅舎、駅名板も残されている上に線路もあるので列車がまた来そうな感じがしますね。
