Scarecely visited museum behind the Chiran Peace Museum
This museum is located to the left, of the Chiran Peace Museum. It should be visited after the Chiran Peace Museum if you have time, as by showing the entry tickets to the Peace Museum, these will be ...
After leaving the Chiran Special Attack Peace Hall, we entered this facility, the Museum Chiran, which was located west of it. I've seen facilities related to special attacks such as the Peace Hall and the statue in the front yard, so I thought that this museum would be the same, so I casually entered and saw it, but it was different. This museum was a facility that introduces southern Kyushu with the theme of "the wave of intersecting culture". There is a theater where you can enjoy sound and video, samurai residences in Minami Kyushu City, Chiran Castle Ruins, Satsuma ...
After leaving the Chiran Special Attack Peace Hall, we also visited this facility, the Museum Chiran, which was built right next to the west. Our admission ticket was a common ticket for the 2 building. It's in Peace Park and right next to the Special Attack Peace Hall, so I thought it was a facility related to war and special attacks, but it wasn't. This is a historical museum that introduces the culture of Minami Satsuma including Chiran.
A museum behind the "Chiran Special Attack Peace Hall". The admission fee is 300 yen. A common ticket with Chiran Special Attack Peace Hall is 600 yen. Shooting is prohibited in the hall except for some parts. Materials related to the history, culture, and folklore of southern Kyushu are on display. The Shimazu clan, the Lord of Satsuma domain, prohibited and suppressed the Jodo Shinshu sect (Ikko sect), but the materials related to "Kakure Nenbutsu", which continued to worship Buddha statues in a place 々, are interesting. There were very few visitors when they visited the museum.
