Created by veterans, the museum preserves the memory of the 1st Marine Commando Battalion, founded by Commander Kiefer. There are videos about the German invasion of 1940, French freedom, the commandos, their training, the landings, the liberation of Ouistreham and Normandy, etc.
Disappointing
This museum is not strictly about 4 Commando, but the French contingent. Lots of artefacts - also German ones. If you’re British with an interest in our own Commandos then you may be disappointed
