Place more than 300 years ago and its still standing. Wow really interesting to know who was here before us.
Very dissapointing
After stopping at the Old timber shed we decided to stop at this beacon as well. Unfortunately it's not well looked after and don't think this piece of history will be there for long.
Neglected
Unfortunately you can see this piece of history has been neglected for quite some time. I hope they restore this area soon.
Interesting find
On our walks looking for nice views, we came across this Beacon which has an inscriptions giving the story of the town. The beacon was erected by Joachim Baron van Plettenberg of the Dutch East Indie...
Found it by accident
Found this monument, and it gives you the history of the the name of Plett. There is a viewing platform next to it that provides a great view. There are also a couple of benches to sit on. Not much e...
