I enjoyed every bit of this adventure - it was affordable, and the views were absolutely worth the hikes and early starts. Day 1: • Madakaripura Waterfall Stay: Bromo Terrace Hotel & Resto Eat: Bawangan Bromo Hotel & Resto Day 2: (started our day at 2.30am) • Sunrise point at King Kong Hill (only jeeps can access the roads there, and you get some cool pics as well) • Hike Mt. Bromo Stay: Urbanview B Syariah Lumajang Day 3: • Tumpaksewu Waterfall • Goa Tetes Cave Stay: ljen View Hotel & Resort Day 4: (started our day at 11.30pm the PREVIOUS day, slept at 6pm to make it to ljen before sunrise) • Hike Mt. Ijen - there's the option to hike down to see a naturally occuring blue fire, but there were too many people on that day, making the narrow path down quite dangerous. October 1, Sunday. After checking in at the SEWU waterfall in Indonesia, I returned to the hotel at 16:00 on the 30th. Seven hours later, at midnight on October 1, with the timely arrival of the special car, the second special forces operation: Indonesian BROMO Volcano🌋 began! We set off in the middle of the night, with countless hairpin bends and steep mountain roads along the way. After a 2.5-hour drive, we arrived at the volcano's parking lot assembly point at 2 a.m., where we had to wait to change to a JEEP to go up the mountain again. Around 2:30 in the morning, after the JEEP was ready, we switched to an old Toyota jeep and climbed steeply for about 30 kilometers. At 3:20 in the morning, we arrived at the BROMO volcano viewing point. This is my fourth time in Indonesia, but my first time visiting this famous Java attraction, Bromo Volcano.
