Sadly, the Caterpillar Experience is long gone.
We were really looking forward to visiting this, but it's gone. The equipment has been sold to the Gough family in Christchurch and there is a Deer Museum on the site. Hopefully the Goughs/Cat NZ ...
They have closed down
They have been closed for some time now so the next best place to go is the museum in Robertson av Rotorua not as good but ok open on Weekends and Thursdays
