There are no turrets or castle gates, but earthworks and water excavations are left beautifully. Since it was mid-April, Yoshino cherry blossoms were in bloom to cover the water moat and it was beautiful. The 650-year-old large zelkova is designated as a natural monument in Fukushima Prefecture. There is a large free parking lot on the south side of the park.

The ruins of Tanakura Castle have beautiful moats and are maintained as a park. The outside of the moat, the inside, or the promenade on the earthworks are unexpectedly varied. Let's enjoy the autumn leaves while walking. Also, there is a large zelkova near Oitemon, so you can't miss it. The season of Sakura and azaleas looks good. The parking lot is also located on the north and south sides along the outer moat, and even inside the moat.
