Small temple you walk through on the way to Kappabuchi. I liked looking at the kappa statues, and the kappa dog statues too! Worth checking out if you're going to Denshoen as well.

Kappabuchi is located in the back of the precincts of Jokenji Temple, this temple. Jokenji Temple is a temple of the Soto sect, and is a historic temple called 1490 New Year's opening. Crossing the stone bridge from the road, you will find a mountain gate, but the oldness of the wood that makes the gate seems to convey the history of the temple. The statues of Nio on both sides of the gate were also magnificent at Sojo 3.5m, which was transferred from Hayachimine Shrine.
It is a Buddha Temple that is said to have been opened in 1490. There is a legend about the Cappa Fairy, and there is the Cappa Comine Statu in the precincts. You can access Kappabuchi through the precincts.
