It was pouring with rain when we visited and the wind was blowing a hooley. We did not see it at its best. It’s ruins so not much to see. After a long journey it was disappointing.

Worth the day trip from Dublin or stopping from Dublin to Galway
Great views of the surrounding area - the biggest Anglo-Norman castle in Ireland was awesome. The guided tour is a must - learned a bunch of Norman history and Irish history in it.
