I know this small café for a long time, actually this is one of my favourites in Budapest. It's a small café with a small garden on the Buda side, not far the main road and a big shopping mall. This means it's easy to reach, so I like to have also some business meetings here. Their ice cream is really tasty and I love all the cakes they have. So I suggested to meet there with a partner. She arrived earlier than me, and asked the waitress if they have some gluten-free cakes and the answer came quite impolite: this is not a paleo café. I was very surprised to hear this, since I agree that traditional cakes contain flour and sugar and normal milk, but these days there are so many people suffering from gluten or lactose allergy or even diabetes, and it's not a big deal to bake at least one or two types of cakes for them. Cafés usually offer such products. I felt bad, because I organized a meeting to a place, where my business partner couldn't have a cake with her coffee. Next time I'll keep this in mind.
