1st time at the Billy Goat Tavern. I know it's an institution in Chicago so I want to give it a try. Maybe it was the time, but is was Ok for me. Nothing really stands out, but maybe that's the charm.
Only $6.99 and it tastes way better than the burger from the diner downstairs at my work! Awwwww Chicago I love you~
Decent burgers and fun place to visit. Order a double cheese with chips and leave the poor waitstaff alone!
Triple cheese borger is good but not the best , the place is part of American burger history
Doble cheezborger! Muy buena! Local muy autentico.
The ‘cheezborger’ gets incessant airplay to this day; but it has evolved to good craftbeers on offer, & its house drafts are a superb value for the money. And it will turn on the soccer game.
Underneath the Chicago Tribune Building, the original hangover cure serves greasy cheeseburgers and many beers. Bright lights and surly reporters. What's not to like?
Classic dive bar popular with journalists from the Chicago Tribune. Only two types of beer. Feels like you've traveled back in time. Get a double cheeseburger, of course.
Didn't stay - after walking in we were stared at and not made to feel welcome. The cash only made our decision for us and we left! In a very stranger place too.....
Having the goat take the ceremonial kickoff in a STING playoff soccer match at Wrigley Field was a key factor in the 1981 Championship. (Spot the photograph.)
