The Mayan Museum opened in November 2012 and was designed by Mexican architect Alberto García Lascurain. It lasted 6 years and cost 15 million US dollars. This modern white building seems to be perfectly located in the center of Cancun’s bustling hotel district. But its sleek exterior obscures the museum’s 55,000 square feet of property, which also includes the archaeological site of San Miguelito, an oasis of calm shrouded in trees and containing about 40 Mayan buildings ( Including the fact that the 26-foot-tall pyramid).

The scale of the museum is small, and there are not many tourists. There are many carvings, which look quite exquisite.
The Mayan Archaeological Museum in Copan is actually in the Mayan ruins. It is archaeological while exhibiting, because there are actually many treasures in the underground that have not been discovered. Everyone can visit the archaeological site. Between the two walls of a temple, under the shed roof is the archaeological site. You can see the archaeologists digging out every inch of land very meticulously, of course in the nearby museum. There are also some archaeological discoveries, which are worth visiting.
