It’s a fantastic destination for nature and photography lovers. ✨ Must-visit places: · 🏔️ Gangtok – the capital and main base for exploring Sikkim. · 🏞️ Tsomgo (Changu) Lake – a beautiful high-altitude lake near Gangtok. · 🏔️ Nathu La Pass – a spectacular mountain pass near the India–Tibet border. · 🌄 North Sikkim – visit Lachen, Lachung and Yumthang Valley. · 🌸 Yumthang Valley – known as the Valley of Flowers, especially beautiful in spring. · 🏔️ Zero Point – a high-altitude area famous for snow-covered landscapes. · 🛕 Rumtek Monastery – one of Sikkim’s most important Buddhist monasteries. · 🌿 Pelling – famous for incredible views of Kanchenjunga. · 🌄 Ravangla – peaceful mountain scenery and the impressive Buddha Park. 🌤️ Best Time to Visit March–May: Flowers, greenery and pleasant weather 🌸 October–November: Clear skies and excellent mountain views ⭐ December–February: Cold and possible snow in higher areas ❄️ June–September: Monsoon, with rain and possible landslides. 🚗 Getting Around Most visitors arrive via Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri (NJP) in West Bengal and then travel by road to Gangtok. Shared taxis, private cars and local tours are commonly used. For a first trip, 6–8 days is a good amount of time to experience Gangtok, Tsomgo Lake, Pelling and either North or South Sikkim.
