The owner of the manor was once the mayor of New York City, and his descendants donated the manor to the government because they could not pay the estate tax. The manor is now an open park. It is free in winter and charges are charged during the day in spring. Because the manor does not have obstructions such as doors, it is possible to enter and exit freely when the staff is off work. [Naughty] The manor is very large, nestled by the Hudson River, and there are patches of grass. There are not too many buildings in it. Appears peaceful and serene. There is also a large plantation of flowers and plants, but no one farms anymore. Below the trail along the river is a railway that leads south to Manhattan's Central Station. Many people living around here commute to work in New York, and trains are their means of transportation to and from get off work.
