John O'Groats is a village 2.5 miles northeast of Canisbay, in the northeastern tip of scotland. This is our stop point before proceeding to the Orkney ferry connection. The name John O'Groats has a particular resonance because it is often used as a starting or ending point for cycling, walks to and from Land's End. The driving distance between Inverness and John O'Groats is 195 kilometers 2 hours and 50 minutes, public transport is also reachable from Inverness. The car ferry ride to Orkney is around 1 hour, some wildlife also can be seen on the ferry.
