Our reservation was for around 6:30pm and we were seated within 5 minutes of checking-in. Our late reservation time was perfect in many ways, but perhaps the best being that we were able to exit the park after closing time and enjoy a very pleasant stroll through the nearly empty park.

We booked lunch for 4 of us 2 adults and 2 kids(12,5). It was the best thing we could do at Hollywood Studios to beat the afternoon heat. We spent at least 2.5 hours in here. We waited a while which was past our booking time and we know exactly why after we experienced ourselves. We saw Dic McStuffins, Sofia, Jake and Handy Many. The kids entertainer was super. So many dances and sing alongs. The food was great...there was ample choice for vegetarians and it was literally death by food. We even got free passes for the Fantasmic Show which was great. If you have kids then this is highly recommended.
We picked Hollywood and Vine as our Mickey and Friends Character Dinner. We were met inside the door by Donald Duck. The food on the buffet was good. The lobster Mac 'n' cheese was great and there were good fruit and salad options on the cold part of the buffet. Again, the food was good, but I think that the higher cost for the meal is because it's a character meal. I'm glad we went and love checking out all the restaurants at Disney's parks. The characters took a good amount of time at each table and my grandchildren felt pretty special.
