The Kelong Seafood Restaurant

It's quite special. You can see the sunset even if you don't sit at the side. There is a small bar further away. The freshly squeezed juices are in small cups. The service in Bintan Island is beyond doubt. In one word, it's good and enthusiastic. This restaurant is recommended by many travellers.

Kuilong is the most famous seafood restaurant in Bintan Island. It attracts tourists because of its small pavilion that stretches out into the sea. The black pepper crab is delicious, as well as the snail and eggplant. I was very satisfied with the dishes I ordered.

This Kuilong restaurant is located inside the Nirwana Hotel, so you can imagine how expensive it is. It is more than twice as expensive as the Kuilong restaurant outside! The seafood is fresh, but the chef's cooking is perfunctory and the taste is not heartfelt. The lights in the water house are dim at night, but there is a lot of atmosphere.

The taste is not bad, the crabs and coconuts are bigger than my face, the beef is also super big, the squid is really fresh, and it costs more than one million Indonesian rupiah to eat casually, which instantly makes me a rich man. The environment and taste are excellent. Watching the sunset, listening to the sound of the sea, and enjoying the food here is extremely beautiful! Highly recommend the black pepper crab. Great

We ordered four signature dishes, black pepper crab, 40 RMB for 100 grams, our crab was 700 grams. We ordered fresh squid twice, the first time we ordered a small plate, it tasted very good, the kids and husband liked it very much, so we ordered a big plate, a big plate was about 196 RMB. There was also a plate of fried rice, which tasted good. We spent 728 RMB for two adults and one child, but we didn't finish it, we were full, so we took it away. In fact, we went there once in the morning, the scenery was very beautiful! You can also see the guys in the store catching things in the water.

We experienced two kelong restaurants during this trip, one is the seaside kelong restaurant in the mangrove forest, and the other is the kelong restaurant in the Nirwana Hotel. The former is a standard group meal (with black pepper crab, salty) and mosquitoes; the latter is this Nirwana Kelong... I made a reservation at the hotel front desk, and the waiter gave me a sea view seat leaning against the railing. During dinner, I also enjoyed the fishermen casting nets to catch fish, the sunset, the rain, the seabirds catching fish, and the beautiful fish under the water-thank you to the Nirwana front desk and waiters for such a good seat. The dishes are good, and the ones we ordered are all recommended by the chef. The two of us can't walk after eating. If there are few students, remember to order a small portion. The xo crab meat fried rice is super good, and the cream and other prawns are better if the butts are handled cleanly. From then on, I fell in love with the magical creature gonggong. It can be delicious even if boiled in plain water. After eating black pepper crab, I still prefer Yongcheng Restaurant on the slope (black pepper crab is the first in my mind, and it has not changed for several years). The black pepper here is temporarily ranked first in Indonesia. I didn't order a cocktail, but I heard it's good. As shown in the picture, the dishes + drinks cost a total of 1350k Indonesian rupiah, which is quite cost-effective.

The food is fresh and not expensive. The environment is very good. I went there for two consecutive days. It was a bit hot at noon, but the place was almost reserved. The waiters were nice, but sometimes they were busy and I had to ask for service.

As a small island, Bintan has abundant aquatic resources, so it is very convenient to eat seafood here. The seafood here is very cheap and very fresh. It is worth coming here to taste it, and it is very cost-effective.
