What travelers say:
On recommendation of our Hotelier we went to this unassuming restaurant, which is ironically located beside McDo and had a very simplistic, but excellent Catalan meal. Leg of lamb cooked to perfection, local vegetables and mussels. Very fresh and delicious and all served with a smile. Appetizers were served free of charge and the Mandarine and Passionfruit sorbets with Belgian chocolate truffles were an elegant finish to an excellent meal! In the middle of a noisy tourist strip, we would have not really expected this standard of food and service!

My partner and I never tried basque cuisine before this occasion. We had zero regrets. Our dining experience was awesome. We shared some plates of oozy cheesey croquettes with Joselito ham, and dipped beautiful breads into fried eggs on smooth truffle Potato mash. We followed this by sharing 1kg of old cow which was served with little green mild peppers. The old cow packed a punchy beef flavour. I'm not a big meat eater but I definitely had my fair share of the old cow. It was delicious. We were given a hotplate to cook our meat to our preference. The chef cooks it medium rare but more on the rare side so the hot plate is a must if you like your meat cooked more. If youve never tried basque cuisine, you're truly in for a surprise. Be brave and try something new. The waiter has good English and explained all the specials and menu choices we didn't understand. We were too full for individual desserts so opted to share the Handmade Belgian truffles which did not disappoint. Amazing!
Great restaurant, family owned. You may walk by in front and looks like any other restaurant in the neighborhood, but this is different, the food is simply delicious, teh service unbeatable and wine suggestions couldn’t be better.
The food was great. Everything we tasted was delicious. The wine was great and the service was impeccable. Great experience!
