Shelburne Restaurant

We loved our afternoon . The restaurant was extremely busy largely with people having Cream tea for two at 1pm!! We ordered from the menu and had a delicious light lunch which included a main and a dessert . Service was very friendly and helpful but incredibly slow presumably because of staff shortages on a bank holiday .we will definitely come again.It is a very pleasant light and airy restaurant with a great view of the golf course and countryside .

Really tasty food, moderate portions, very good service . Calm, quiet atmosphere to eat in. Very pleasant lounge, with log fire, to relax in after meal with a coffee.

Nice restaurant. Not too formal, with good lighting, making it feel warm and friendly. We enjoyed our three course dinner. Excellent food, and beautifully presented. I asked for a ‘cozy table’ as it was our anniversary celebration, and we got one! Service good. Staff friendly. At the end of our dinner, we were presented with a plate of truffles to celebrate our night, a lovely touch!. Nice experience all round.

I have always had a very good experience when visiting the Shelbourne Restaurant at Bowood. I have been several times for Sunday lunch, but this visit was the best by far. Excellent service from the moment I arrived, enjoying a glass of wine at the bar whilst waiting for my friend to join me.The food was excellent, my Salmon was cooked to perfection and all the accompanying vegetables were simply delicious. It was great to be able to enjoy our desserts sitting out on the patio and enjoy the sunshine.An excellent afternoon and I thoroughly recommend for people to visit this fabulous restaurant and hotel.

A very enjoyable relaxing Sunday Lunch.The service was very good and the food was excellent. It was really good to be able to just sit back, relax and enjoy the beauty of the restaurant and it's surroundings whilst enjoying the excellent food and drink.
