Our hotel (Coachman Inn) recommended this place, we had just arrived in Carmel and the air was like death and heaven. It was dark and we had no idea where we were, let alone a restaurant, until we got to Portabella and everything fell away. From the moment we walked in the door to the moment we left the restaurant, everything felt like heaven and the service was amazing. The owner, Star (he knows who I'm talking about) and the chef came to our table and asked if we needed anything, they were all amazing and the food was super delicious, I had the beef tenderloin and ate the entire plate. My husband had the rib eye steak and he also said it was delicious. Highly recommend anyone reading this review to try it.
