The food was good overall, but not a lot of variety. It was lunch time on weekdays, maybe because of that, there were many people and kind of noisy.

I went to lunch at La Cantine du 38 and it was a wonderful surprise! I had a perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful rib-eye steak, accompanied by a generous and well-seasoned side dish. My mother opted for the daily special, which changes regularly, and she also enjoyed it&mdash;fresh, well-prepared ingredients and a meticulous presentation. The service was fast and friendly, and the atmosphere pleasant and convivial. Honestly, this is a place to remember for a good lunch in the neighborhood. We&#39;ll definitely be back!

I used to eat lunch at this restaurant when I was working in the Rue de la R&eacute;publique area and I hadn&#39;t been back for several years! I was very pleasantly surprised to see that this restaurant had improved its quality of service, decor, and presentation of its dishes, and that its prices had remained very reasonable. I will be returning in the near future.
