Tapas y Copas Funchal

Food was amazing, as we were ordering the tapas we were advised that we had ordered enough for the three of us. They could have just let us order more and took the money knowing we probably wouldn’t be able to eat it. A lot of restaurants do good food but this place was superb with their food and equally great with their hospitality. We will return.

Always enjoy meal at this tapas restaurant. Helps to know menu when in a arty to order correct amounts but interesting tastes and flavours

What a great discovery! Having walked past this restaurant for almost 7 years I recently read a post that highly recommended it. I am Gluten Free, and it appeared there was a good food selection. My wife isn’t GF so her choice was extensive. From the minute we booked via The Fork, then arrived - the service was second to none. As for the food, a member of staff took me through my options and what would work for me, and how many dishes we needed for 2 adults. If we needed we could order more. We ordered a selection of Garlic bread (not for me 😢), Patatas Brava, Garlic Prawns, Vegetable Timpale, and steak. Absolutely delicious. Washed down with a delightful Monte Vehlo red wine. The service was excellent throughout the night and the team really appeared to focus on their customers without being in your face. Many thanks all - will be back!

I highly recommend Tapas Y Copas, there are a couple of floors with a slightly different ambiance and we were able to pick our table. Service was quick with our drinks order and the food came quickly, cooked to order, fresh, piping hot and the portions generous, full of flavour and had creative twists on familiar tapas recipes. The service was second to none, friendly attentive but not overbearing. The prices were reasonable too. I would definitely go again.

Been here several times, and the experience is always a 5 out of 5. Service and ambience are very nice. Tapas are all lovely. Try the crispy fried calamari and churros with chocolate!
