Tianmu No. 1 Mountain Home in Lin'an is close to the Tianmu Mountain Scenic Area in Zhoujiatan, County Road 313. The air is first-class, the scenery and environment are superb. The meals are all farm dishes, and the chicken soup is very delicious.

This is the farmhouse restaurant that I had found before coming to Tianmu Mountain. It is said to be the best in the area. I visited Tianmu Mountain on a rainy day and hiked for four hours on the mountain road. After going down the mountain, I went straight to Tianmu No. 1 Mountain House. It was already two o'clock in the afternoon, and other people's lunch markets were closed, but the proprietress of this restaurant was still very enthusiastic to prepare a table of sumptuous farmhouse dishes. The first dish served was braised bamboo shoots in oil, which were fried with fresh and tender bamboo shoots preserved in the refrigerator. A little bit of spiciness brought out the freshness, which was very refreshing and delicious. The fried green onions and local eggs were fried tender and fragrant. After a round, this was the first dish to be sold out. The most delicious one is the bamboo-scented chicken soup, which is stewed with astragalus. The milky white soup has a faint medicinal fragrance, which removes the usual greasiness of chicken soup, making the chicken soup delicious and refreshing. The chicken is not old either, and it tastes fresh and fragrant. It is the best chicken soup I have eaten recently.
