A beautiful restaurant, lake view... generous space. Would table runners be an idea instead of the bare tables? Overall very positive ????
The ambiance in the restaurant is wonderful. It feels modern and fresh with a slight retro touch. We enjoyed the food very much, and the service was perfect. One small drawback is the poor coffee, which simply doesn't match the standards of this restaurant.
After many positive, even enthusiastic experiences, the food at Acht yesterday was truly unsatisfactory in quality. The veal tongue starter tasted like water. The main course, Café de Paris, was of subpar quality. The staff was very friendly, as was the atmosphere. Perhaps I'll try it again?
The food was very good. The cordon bleu and stuffed turnips were excellent. The side vegetables were also very good. I was a bit disappointed with the leaf salad, however; it was a mix of finely chopped leaves with too much sauce – like we used to get at ski camp. It wasn't particularly appetizingly presented, with too much sauce and no decorations or little extras like roasted seeds, etc. Unfortunately, the value for money wasn't right for me. Since the room is large and open, and you sit close to the next table, there's a lack of privacy and comfort.
Very beautiful location with a view of Lake Constance. The menu has very limited selection. The cordon bleu is served as a very hard ball, which is original but difficult to cut. The stuffed turnip is also too hard. Service is routine, lacking in warmth. No leadership is present.
