Starting from Lake Louise, we climbed up the mountain for about 50 minutes. Fortunately, the intensity was not very high. In early June, the ice in the lake had not melted yet. There were cute little squirrels everywhere, which was super cute. There was a cafe at the top, where you can sit down, look at the beautiful scenery, and drink a cup of hot chocolate. There are so many people taking photos at the entrance of Lake Louise, you can walk inside, the snow mountain is in a more correct position and there are fewer people; if you are physically fit, you can climb up the mountain from a trail by the lake to overlook the lake, it is very beautiful! I personally think this is the best view of Lake Louise. Going up the mountain from Lake Louise, you will first pass a small lake, Mirror Lake, with average scenery by the lake. Continue to the top and you will reach Lake Agnes. There is a tea house full of people. We sat at the picnic table by the lake and ate some bread and chocolate. A dark-capped blue jay was very brave and flew to my feet to eat. The old man next to it said it was a candy bar robber. There is a section of the mountain road where you can pay to ride horses. Many horses along the way have very smelly feces, especially when you are tired from climbing and want to take a deep breath, you will inhale a large amount of stench 😢) 🥾There are two trails by Lake Agnes, Little Beehive and Big Beehive. We saw someone walking Big Beehive and wanted to try it. When we were about to reach the snow slope, there was a sign on the tree saying not recommended due to avalanche risk and deep snow, upper elevation trails remain snow covered and I was a little timid, but I wanted to walk a little bit. The road near the lake was relatively stable, but it was scary when climbing up the slope. You can't see it in the photo, but the snow slope is actually quite steep, about 67 degrees. Although there are deep footprints left by hikers in front of us, climbing the snow slope is still very strenuous, a double challenge physically and mentally. I was worried about accidentally sliding into the lake. After climbing the snow slope with great difficulty, who knew that the road above was even more difficult! Either it was covered with snow or it was a very narrow muddy road. When we reached the first zigzag, we felt it was too slippery. Seeing that there were so many zigzags above, we decided to give up first and wait until the snow melted to walk a snow-free version to see where the road was. 🥾After returning to the tea house, we continued to walk the little beehive trail to the top of the mountain, overlooking Lake Louise and Mirror Lake, which was extremely beautiful! We walked 12.4km and gained 718m in altitude. It took 4h11min to walk and take photos. It is recommended to wear hiking shoes. There are some slippery sections in Little Beehive (many people also brought hiking poles).
