Wan Thai Restaurant

Wan Tai is a time-honored Thai restaurant. They serve northern Thai cuisine, which tastes a bit heavier. The meat wrapped in leaves is delicious. The Tom Yum Goong soup is very spicy, and I ate a lot of rice.

This is a very famous Thai restaurant in the area. It was recommended by local Malaysians, not Chinese. Maybe the Malays prefer Thai food. The waiters there provide very good service and it is obviously a high-end restaurant.

It feels a bit strange to eat Thai food in Malaysia, but Thailand is very close to Malaysia, especially Langkawi, and the food there is quite authentic. Eating Thai food in Langkawi is actually a good choice. Tom Yum Goong soup, curry chicken and fried rice are recommended!

This Thai restaurant behind the street parking lot in Kuah Town looks inconspicuous. But the environment and space inside are large and the decoration is also very exquisite. The owners are all descendants of Muslims from Thailand. Their Thai food tastes authentic and the dishes are rich. Many dishes taste even better than those in Thai restaurants. Recommended Tom Yum Goong seafood soup, green mango (papaya) salad, pandan leaf grilled chicken (fresher than the one in Thailand), Thai fried rice (delicious taste), green curry beef, assorted stir-fried vegetables, etc. all have their own characteristics.

We chose Wan Thai Restaurant for lunch, a Thai restaurant with high online reviews and frequented by locals. It is located on the street behind Lao Shi Wang Bak Kut Teh. It has a big front and is very easy to find. I won't recommend the signature dishes, which can be found online. We ordered eight dishes including mango sticky rice, Tom Yum Goong soup, herb fried chicken, coconut milk chicken soup and Thai spicy and sour fish, with a total price of RM228.
