Good food &amp; very friendly staff. Location is nice especially in summer when you can sit on the terrace by the waterside.

Grand cafe de Stal is a very nice place at a cozy indoor or refreshing outdoor location with good service. I can highly recommend it for lunch, dinner or drinks.

We went there with a group of 3 for lunch. We would recommend this place based on the food quality and the nice location. Service was also very friendly.

Heerlijke lunch gehad bij de stal. De salade cajunkip blijft absoluut top, maar er zijn ook veel andere heerlijke gerechten, dus keuzestress! Leuke sfeer, snel geserveerd door vriendelijke attente bediening. Kortom aanrader!

Had a lovely lunch at the stable. The salad Cajun chicken remains absolutely top, but there are also many other delicious dishes, so choice stress! Nice atmosphere, quickly served by friendly attentive staff. In short, recommended!

Excellent personable hospitality from the manager/owner &amp; very good price to quality ratio. Amazing ambience - definitely a must see in summer on the terrace!

Delicious food, quick service which includes a smile and nice ambiance with good music choice. We had the burgers which came with a salad and really good fries. Surely coming back for more!

The environment in the store is very good, and it feels very much like that.
The Sangria in this Spanish restaurant is also very delicious! I feel that the whole dinner has become more enjoyable and satisfying because of this bottle of wine! Drinks or wine are just a icing on the cake for me, and I haven&#39;t reached the point where I can just appreciate wine alone. But I have learned about it recently, and I should want to study it when I have enough funds in the future. In fact, it is as interesting as coffee.
The three of us ordered a tapas platter, which had many different kinds of tapas, and the taste was pretty good. Of course, it was not a completely Spanish-style tapas, but it had been innovated and modified locally. For example, the small balls similar to fried mashed potatoes were hot fillings inside, which was also quite special.
I haven&#39;t eaten paella before. The gravy, seafood flavor and rice are completely integrated together, which is really great! Theirs seems a bit dry, but the seafood is sufficient, but the rice is too little and the juice is not enough.

We had the Surakarta Rijstaffel for 2. We did not finish the meal as it was just too much food! The waitress packed our leftover without any extra charge. We also appreciated the hot water refill on our ginger tea! The foods are great, and quite authentic Javanese. It is a bit on the sweeter side, but that is just how Javanese Indonesian food is! During our stay they had to turn away a couple of groups simply because they were really full at 6pm! So definitely get a reservation before coming.

Probably the best spare ribs I ever tried and definitely are the best in Leiden! My  favorite is sweet-spicy.  Tapas and the cocktails are also excellent. Very friendly and quick service. We had a super  evening with 2 kids
