We chose a pasta dish and a pizza option.  The pasta dish was a little greasy but very flavoursome and a large portion.  The pizza was amazing.  A lovely thin base with plenty of topping.  It was an early Sunday evening and the restaurant was very quiet which is why I didn&#39;t understand why they sat us opposite the till and the toilets?

Server was great. Management not so good. I&rsquo;ve been to their restaurant in Madrid quite a few times and everything was excellent. Waiter was busy and I wanted a second glass of wine. Manager walked by my table a few times and didn&rsquo;t notice. When he was heading to the front to greet some new clients, I said I&rsquo;d like another glass of wine. He said, &ldquo;Wait a minute.&rdquo; After he sat them, he got me a glass of wine. Also, food was not as good as at Madrid&rsquo;s location.

This had to be one of the worst restaurants in Logrono..arrived and tried to order our meal ..took a while although hardly anyone there .Eventually ordered rose wine and glass of red ..got red and white wine ..then tried to order a starter of italian bread ..to be told ..seriously they had no tomatoes or olives and it would only come with onions..didnt order that. I ordered pasta my husband ordered lasagne. Perfectly obvious when mine arrived it was a microwave job as it stuck together in clumps ..very little sauce ,which to be fair was tasty but the fact that it had been geated up just ruined it. The clincher was the lasagne which was cold in the middle..again microwave..told the young waiter..took it away and then my husband waited..and waited..to be presented with the same meal ..microwaved!!!!.At no point did anyone enquire what we thought of the meal ..bad service ..terrible food ..do not waste your money here

We opted for the 20th anniversary menu. Very good. Melisa, the waitress who served us, was very friendly and efficient.

We will be back once again at this restaurant. The food is very good and the portions are large. The price/quality ratio is acceptable. The waiters are very attentive. Highly recommended.

La Tagliatella

A new venture, this place pulls out all the stops. The waiter was knowledgeable and suggested improvements at just the right time. We enjoyed every dish, but the short rib and the duck with apples were very special.

Excellent restaurant, with fantastic food. Huge selection of wines, all at very reasonable prices. There were downsides - there were no staff in the restaurant at our booked time, so we had a drink in the lively bar while waiting, and we were the only guests in the restaurant, so it was quiet. Both partly our own fault for booking at 8pm. Service was attentive and friendly, overall cost very reasonable. I would definitely return, but maybe book at 9pm or later.

Super friendly family restaurant, excellent service, great selection of fresh seafood, great wine selection.  A lovely dining experience.

Come see the people of Logro&ntilde;o in June for the Fiestas de San Bernab&eacute;

The Fiestas de San Bernab&eacute; are the patron saint festivals of the Spanish city of Logro&ntilde;o. They are celebrated around June 11, the day of the city&#39;s patron saint, San Bernab&eacute;, to commemorate the victory during the siege of Logro&ntilde;o in 1521. Together with La Rioja Day, celebrated on the 9th, they form the bridge of the festive city. In 2015, they were declared a National Tourist Holiday.
The date commemorates the victory achieved on June 11, 1521, during the siege of Logro&ntilde;o against the army of King Francis I of France and Henry II of Navarre, led by Andr&eacute; de Foix, Lord of Asparros, and composed of B&eacute;arnese, Labotan, French. and Bajo de Navarra, later joined by Alto de Navarra, who tried to reach the Castilian lands through the city after the reconquest of the Kingdom of Navarra, occupied since 1512 by the King of Castile-Aragon. Myths speak of a siege of the city for 17 days by about 30,000 French and Navarrese soldiers. Recent investigations, however, reduce the number of attackers to about 8,000 and detail the chronology of the siege, placing it between June 4 and 6 and the 11th of the same month (about a week). Among the factors that influenced Asparros&#39;s withdrawal, the most striking was the presence in the city of more than 3,000 Castilian soldiers, led by Pedro de Beaumont, Pedro V&eacute;lez de Guevara and Diego de Vera, among others. The general&#39;s mistrust of his troops, due to poor discipline, low morale and scarcity; the imminent arrival of a relief army; and the lack of response by the community rebels. Thus, on June 11, Asparros lifted the siege and arrived that day as the vanguard of the relief army commanded by the Duke of N&aacute;jera. To commemorate this victory, the city of Logro&ntilde;o swore an oath to Saint Barnabas, who became the patron saint of the city on this day of feast day.
Emperor Charles I of Spain, in honor of this victory, ordered the addition of three lilies to the city&#39;s coat of arms. The decree was signed in Valladolid on July 5, 1523.
According to legend, the city survived during the siege on fish caught in the Ebro River, so the remaining food was used to feed the last living cow in the city. It was fattened and shown to the invaders to spread the legend that all the inhabitants of Logro&ntilde;o, including the animals, had superhuman size, thus frightening the invading army. Today we know that this myth and others do not exist in line with reality.
This fact leads to the main event of this celebration, namely the free tasting of fish, bread and wine organized by the Brotherhood of the Fish, which takes place near the Puerta del Revell&iacute;n, the only remnant of the old city walls of the city. 
According to the vow of Saint Barnabas, which included the festive events to be performed, a festive arch was placed at each of the city gates, a fact that is currently maintained by placing a memorial arch at the beginning of Portales Street, in front of the old town hall. A procession carrying the image of the saint was also established, an activity that was previously carried out by peasants and in the 18th century was taken over by the children of councillors born in Logro&ntilde;o. Currently, it is the members of the Brotherhood of San Bernab&eacute; who carry the image. 
The tradition of waving flags during the procession has also been established, which is currently carried out by the mayor at three locations in the city: the Arch of San Bernab&eacute;, in front of the Provincial Hospital, and the Puerta del Revell&iacute;n, where the Puerta del Revell&iacute;n was previously located. These flags are presented together with the city flag composed of the Cross of St. Andrew, the flag that King St. Ferdinand III gave to the city in 1227 when he helped the people of Logro&ntilde;o capture the city of Baeza.
Since 2008, representations have been held around the walls of the Revell&oacute;n, which recall the siege suffered during the attack of the Franco-Navarre army, in which the battles experienced at the city gates are reflected. For this occasion, many Logro&ntilde;os dress in period costumes, to which we must add the Renaissance market throughout the old town and the camps of the Franco and Castilian armies.
The arch located at the beginning of Portales Street has given rise to numerous popular superstitions. Thus, some say that to be lucky in love, you must go through it three times. Others, however, claim that you must go through it completely to achieve your wish. In recent years, some citizens and tourists have uncivilizedly torn off some of the boxwood leaves that decorate the doorposts as souvenirs, damaging the appearance of the door and sometimes leaving the installation completely naked.
