Lucca In Tavola

Michele and his staff provided excellent service. The food was delicious and very beautifully prepared. The risotto I had is one of the best I have ever eaten.

Wanted to eat somewhere away from the busy tourist centre, within the walls. Was told there was no such thing in June in Lucca. Found this gem, lovely quiet street, could sit in or out, chose out. Had perfectly cooked king prawns for starters, and equally perfectly cooked seabass for main, delicious, as were the sides and wine. Friendly service from all the staff including the (I think) the owner, and (I think) his wife the cook. Would return if ever I'm back in Lucca.

We were welcomed so nicely and felt like we had a personal server checking on us so frequently. Bread they brought out at the beginning of the meal was so delicious. My pistachio pasta dish was delicious, I wish it was bigger portion because I almost licked my plate. The owner treated us to a shot of lemoncello as we were paying the bill. House wine was actually pretty good and very affordable.

Great little family run restaurant. Good food, fair prices. The owner and staff were very kind and helpful with suggestions. A must try when you are in Luca.

We just returned from a 2 week trip to Italy and this was by far our favorite place! The family that runs this restaurant is so welcoming from the moment you walk in the door. The special pasta of the day was a pecorino pistachio cream sauce and it was out of this world. You can tell there is so much passion and love in the food and in the ambience of this restaurant. THANK YOU for an unforgettable experience. We will return when we are back in 6 months!
