Divino Maratea

Dining here was an authentic experience. There are only a few tables so make a reservation. The food was delicious and authentic. Our Italian is limited and their English was just a little better than out Italian. We ended up telling her to choose for us. As a vegetarian meal I was served a delicious vegetable caponata on a biscuit like bread. My main was a perfectly cooked herby, pesto pasta. My husband's primi was a fabulous spread of cheese, meats and accompanying condiments. His pasta was a red pepper sauce that was also delicious. We loved the food and the warm, homey atmosphere.

This is a very small restaurant, only 3 tables at the back of a speciality food and wine emporium. It is a husband and wife team, and felt like being in their private dining room. We opted for a carafe of local white wine, a local beer, a fabulous selection of charcuterie and cheeses, and two pasta dishes. Charming friendly service and excellent food. Highly recommended.

This is the most wonderful place. Timeless Italian dishes. Stanley Tucci would be proud.

We made a reservation on Google but on arrival they told us they were only open for dinner. During the day time it is a store.

What a gem. Loved every moment.
