Very friendly service. Good choices on wine and not expensive. Very good food quality and I definitely want to revisit again. I heard from staff of Château Latour-Martillac mentioned this restaurant too.

Lovely local restaurant with friendly staff, interesting wine selection. I was unimpressed with the food, which was fine, but not great.
Starters were great, chicken dish was tasty, magret so/so. We enjoyed our meal in this restaurant despite Covid times!
It’s a stifling hot evening - it was 38C when I arrived - and not a breath of a breeze. Le Pistou, in homage to the usual French tradition of seeming to be closed more days than they are open, serve dinner generously from 8pm to 9.30 pm on Saturdays! But at least they had a table for me, so I shouldn’t look a gift horse in the mouth...Excellent range of local wines by the glass, including top estates. They are busy, hence I saw my St.Jacques sitting under the lamp on the pass for some time, so they arrived a bit overcooked. The thousand island glaze on the serving slate was a somewhat retro and was a bit 1980s, but the quality was still quite good. I’ll see what the entrecôte steak is like. I asked for it ‘blue’. Let’s see. As you can tell, I can be a bit of a customer from hell for the complacent French, but tonight I am in a relaxed mood. And the staff are very pleasant. They even smile. French restauranteurs take note! Given that many local restaurants struggle to open at any sensible time and are reluctant to even offer you a table, I really love this place - it is probably 3.5* rather than 4 but I think I’m happy to stick it at four stars. It would be laughed out of court in Chelsea or Knightsbridge or Fulhambut this is arrogant, complacent, provincial France and they have a lot to learn yet. But compared to some deals I’ve had in France this is actually quite good.Every time I speak to chefs or entrepreneurs in France, I invite to come to London to see what a real vibrant restaurant scene is like - COVID being an exception at the moment, clearly.,GDate of visit: August 2020
The food was very good. The waiters were very helpful. There was parking at the rear of the restaurant.
