The food was poor. Fish was a blob of batter with hardly any fish in it. Beef burger was two overcooked patties with no meat flavour. Service was friendly

So friendly and welcoming. The steak was thick and juicy and the local &apos;orange&apos; beer was the best beer I have ever tasted!

Great beer and great food

Wow!! What an amazing Sunday roast. Could not fault it. Roast beef and Yorkshire pudding with everything else you need on the plate... even horseradish.  And the staff where all so friendly and accommodating.

We’ve eaten at The Vic many times over the years. Unfortunately this meal did not deliver. Service was prompt and friendly but the food was average at best and terribly over priced. Shame, as it is a lovely old building with heaps of character and we’ve always enjoyed it.

Great service, over priced food

We called in here for an early lunch. Ordered the "Crispy Calamari and Potato skins. I must say that the Crispy Calamari was an absolute disappointment.  $17 for 5 pieces less than 2 inches long? And most of the Crispy coating feel off in the bowl.  What a joke. The potato skins were not too bad, infact they were quite tasty but again for what we paid I felt disappointed.  Would I go back again? Well the Roast lunch the table across from us looked pretty good.

This restaurant in Nelson, New Zealand is a superb New Zealand restaurant. We had our New Year&#39;s Eve dinner here in 2019, and it was really good. The salmon was very fresh and cooked with the pickled green beans here, the taste was really amazing. It felt very meaningful and unique to spend the New Year here.
