What travelers say:
From "soup to nuts" this was an experience way above the norm. It's a fancy room and the attention to detail permeates every aspect of the experience. Fallon, our waitress, was incredibly helpful and exceptionally knowledgeable. Great salads, extensive wine list, great meals, wonderful desserts - nothing could have been better. Bravo!

I have known of this top restaurant for years but never eaten there. In fact this restaurant was the reason I diverted my wife's attention to travel to New Orleans in the first place. I know the chef, Tenney Flynn, from his previous high end restaurant Chops in Atlanta. The seafood is changed daily to give you only the best and freshest fish. The wine is excellent. The desserts are to die for!! If you don't eat here, you are really missing out!!!
We had dinner with friends at GW Fins in early February 2016. It was very busy as it was around Mardi Gras. It is located at an intersection a few blocks from Canal Street. We had a good seat (booth) and the service was excellent. The restaurant was a bit noisy, but that is inevitable when it is crowded. We ordered fish and it was delicious. This was our first restaurant of this trip and our favorite. The waiter was also very nice, polite, enthusiastic and diligent. The food was served quickly, especially considering how busy the place was. I will be back.
Excellent service, nicely set tables. Food was good, even though a main course was $30 per person. Not impressed with the beer selection but not expensive either. The downside is that it was very crowded so it was very loud and you could hardly hear your tablemates. But I didn't regret coming here.
It's a pricey restaurant, about $50 per person, the service and environment are worth the price, but the food is really not my cup of tea. I ordered lobster dumpling, which is really not my cup of tea. The tuna tartar is very good, very fresh and well seasoned. There is a dish called chicken skin wrapped Snapper, but I was curious and didn't dare to order it.
GW Fins is a very popular restaurant in New Orleans. It is located in the city center. It is really great. There are many delicious foods, the taste is also very good, and the atmosphere is very good. It is really worth coming to taste.
