What travelers say:
Great location in a well-preserved 12th-century monastery. A good menu of regional dishes paired with great local wines like Godello or Mencia. The dining room is located in the old staples with impressive stone arches. Professional staff taking care of every detail. Very children-friendly. It is worth visiting this part of Ribeira Sacra.

Exceptional restaurant. We dined on the terrace during sunset in a 13th Century Abbey. The interior was dramatic. Dinner was first class. World class. Very reasonable price too. Blown away.
A very pleasant dining experience with a good menu and excellent service. Being set in a much renovated Monastery, the dining room had a certain ambiance but in a style sympathetic to the setting. Would recommend.
The location is unique & beautiful. The "croquetas de jamón" are the best ones I've ever eaten. However the meat not so good. I asked for a medium cooking & when I cut the meat it was well done. So I requested to be change. The waiter brought a plate with the meat cut & said that it was what I ordered... That it was only a matter to cut the meat. Really? When I cut it the meat wasn't pink. I didn't like this, is like trying to fool you. The waiter just left because it was the end of the shift. Just like that without saying something. There are cheaper restaurants with much better service than this one. Not an experience to repeat!
The restaurant at the Parador was in an amazing room. The wait staff, aside from the rather brusk maitre d, was wonderful. The food, however, was a disaster. As my partner said, it takes a lot to ruin a green salad, but they were able to achieve that. On to our meal, I ordered a veal and asked for medium. The majority of the slices of veal, which was flavorful, were half raw. My husbands veal shank was literally tasteless, aside from the salt. I was so hoping to have a great meal at this beautiful location, but my suggestion is if you are planning to stay at the Parador de Santo Estevo - go off property to Luintra for your dinner meals and find small bar/restaurants along the roads in the Riberira Sacra (such as Parada de Sil) for tapas.
