We actually ate here three times - twice for dinner and one for lunch. Lunch executive menu was a great deal and very tasty.Dinner was more variable - one of us ordered the bacalau twice and it was a bit different with one night better than the other. Veg lentil option was ok. Dessert was tastier at the lunch than dinner.They didn’t have half the port on the menu but did offer us the more expensive option for the price of the cheaper.

Came from a nearby farm for dinner. Very nice location on the river and new construction. It was off-season so we were the only guests in the restaurant. Waiter was helpful. We had 2 starters, sea bass ceviche and scallops with bacon and a pea purée . The ceviche was delicious. The scallop dish was beautiful and the purée was great, but the scallops tasted a bit off. One main was nice piece of beef with a bit of fois gras and potatoes with bits of smoked sausage. It was cooked perfectly and very good. The other was the lamb with a creamy mushroom/rice paste. The Lamb was thin and dry with little flavor. The accompanying paste was delicious. Dessert, as recommended by the waiter, was an orange pie/cake with a scoop of mango ice cream, and was also delicious. The tinto wine the waiter recommended was good, as was the 10 yr port wine. Overall a good experience, but I believe it would be better during peak season when the kitchen and pantry are at full speed.

Beautiful setting and great food and wine. I suggest the pork!
