Exceptional food (probably the best in the valley) and location as ever. Service took time to get going and was a bit patchy. Communication in English to Portuguese was also a barrier.

While a little challenging to dive up, the views are incredible. We sampled wine, olive oil, and port and bought bottles of each! I believe they only sell there due to the size of their production.

Excellent lunch. The staff are warm and attentive and the food was excellent! Would come back when in the Douro Valley again.

Delicious food paired with outstanding wine. I came away stuffed! View of the river is spectacular. Ended evening with a couple of liquid desserts, i.e., two different tawny ports. Will definitely visit again!

I had a terrifying experience where my hand was caught in an automatically closing door onto the terrace from the dining room. I feared my fingers would be amputated and when the door was released my hand was left bruised and swollen.
