My husband and I respect TheFork and often go out to eat taking advantage of the discounts and promotions. Yesterday we chose to go to dinner at Macondo for the location on the sea and for the reasonable prices: 18 euros with the possibility of choosing between restaurant and pizzeria. Upon arrival, however, we found something completely different. Ugly and dilapidated building. Despite this, we decided to go in and immediately noticed large, horribly dirty windows. A girl invited us to sit down and while waiting we decided to go to the bathroom. There was neither toilet paper nor soap, and we were in the dark because there was no light. After a 15-minute wait, the owner arrived (without a mask) and brought us the menu. We discovered that the average menu of 18 euros does not exist, there are not even pizzas but only restaurants with exaggeratedly high prices. For example, the simple Milanese cutlet with chips cost 30 euros! Partly out of embarrassment at having to get up and run away, we accepted the offer to try the octopus as an appetizer but when it arrived we were incredulous at the quantity. 20 euros for two small pieces of octopus on a bed of celery and tomato salad. I can't continue talking about the food because at that point we decided to leave. TheFork's advertising was misleading. Such high prices would be justified in Capri or Portofino but not in an anonymous street in Platamona. Terrible restaurant and disappointing service. We strongly advise against it.
