🚄Travel route
1⃣️High-speed rail goes directly to Putian Station (book tickets in advance and make a time budget. The train to Fujian is late for both round trips)
2⃣️After arriving at Putian Station, you can take bus k09/361 to Wenjia Wharf⛵️. K09 is preferred! There are only 7 stops from k09 to the wharf, and no one gets on or off during the journey. 361 has more than 20 stops throughout the journey!
3⃣️Wenjia Wharf and then take the ferry to Meizhou Island. You can pay attention to the public number [Meizhou Island Ferry] in advance to buy a ticket. 125/person, 90/person for students. Including round trip.
After arriving on the island, the owner of the basic homestay will come to pick up, which is very convenient.
🌟Travel after arriving on the island
The transportation on the island is actually very convenient. You can choose buses, chartered cars, taxis, and donkeys🛵
Buses🚌1-6 lines, an average of 10-15 minutes per trip, but there are basically no cars after 6:30.
We didn&rsquo;t ask about the price of chartered cars🚗, which is not very affordable. You can also rent a car for family travel, 150/day.
Direct🚖 taxis are also available on the island. The island is not big and basically not expensive. If you really can&rsquo;t ride a donkey, you can consider taking a taxi. The donkey🛵 travel is the most convenient on the island. You can go directly to each scenic spot, stop easily, and can also be used for taking pictures📷. There are many donkeys for rent on the island. We rented one from the owner of a homestay for 40/day. The price is about the same in the off-season.
🏠About accommodation
There are really many homestays on the island, but the only concentrated commercial street on the island is the [Farmer&#39;s Market]. Basically, everyone eats here, so it is convenient to live within 3km of this area, and it won&#39;t be too noisy.
The most recommended one is the homestay in this row on the south side of Rainbow Road! It is close to the sea, the environment is beautiful, and you can go to the sea. We stayed near this place, and you can walk to the Mazu Temple. The door is the beach and Rainbow Road🌈
The only thing to pay attention to when choosing accommodation is that the island is not well developed. Don&#39;t choose too remote, otherwise it will really feel desolate at night

1⃣️Xitianwei Flatbread Shop
Miscellaneous rice noodles, mixed noodles, pasta, etc. This basically contracted our breakfast for three days. The taste is relatively delicious, and the flatbread has the taste of shrimp skin🦐. Average price: 20/portion
2⃣️Time&middot;Fujian cuisine
A restaurant with better decoration near the sea, with more people eating.
Recommended dishes: ginger duck, sour soup fish, crispy taro paste, pork skewers
3⃣️Yuanziwei/Qinyuan Restaurant
There are two seafood restaurants in the farmer&#39;s market. Yuanziwei is preferred. The price is more affordable and the taste is lighter. The one we ate at Qinyuan is a bit salty.

Authentic Putian cuisine is not actually a big dish, so every dish that we have never eaten before makes us feel very surprised and novel. The unknown ingredients and homely cooking methods are very memorable.
