Happy Lok Diner

The Chinese name is Lele Tea Restaurant. One of the Chinese restaurants in Cardiff, I found it on a well-known website, and it ranks very high. The store is about 20 minutes walk from Cardiff University! If you drive, it is a bit difficult to park around. There are seats for residents to buy monthly cards around. You see an empty seat and park your car, and soon the police come to ticket you... The store is deserted, mainly serving Southeast Asian dishes. I ordered a few dishes, but they said they were out of stock... I really don't know what the basis for this high ranking is

Noticed this restaurant for the last few months and was thinking about trying it out. The food rating was important and google ratings and both were exceptionally high.Booked a table online and went there on the weekend.The menu is varied and not complicated to read, the seating is good and the restaurant is well lit and busy which is a plus. Ordered and food took a while which means its fresh and the presentation was excellent, portions are large so even a small rice can feed two people. Tasty food and pleasant staff who take the time to talk.Will return next month and the cost is acceptable and to me not overpriced. Will recommend the Spare ribs as a starter, excellent.

Food is lovely and a Gluten Free menu is available. Prices are very reasonable and highly recommended. They also offer a takeaway service which I am yet to use.

Good selection of food, available claypot dishes, tasty and good value for money. Service was friendly and professional and food cooking time was acceptable. Highly recommended. Keep up the good job! We would definitely visit again.

We reserved a table for the 9 of us, and were promptly seated. There were also other Chinese diners at the same time of us, so this is a good indication that this restaurant is well regarded! We spent some time over the menu which was available in English and Chinese, and there was a lot of range and choice of cuisine (Chinese, Cantonese and Malay) to select from.We ordered a large number of dishes which arrived promptly and they all tasted delicious and as expected. Service was attentive. Would we come back? A definite yes!
